I’m a pescatarian, but I wanted to share some tasty vegetarian dishes that I’ve enjoyed at my favourite restaurants in Cabarete. The next time you’re vacationing here, stop by and try these mouth-watering dishes.

Godzilla Roll Sushi – go big or go home!

Parmesan and Mushroom Risotto is a complete meal.

Fish Tacos are amazingly creamy.

Tostones means ‘fried twice’. These are twice-fried plantain slices. They’re great as a side dish and are served with ketchup and mayonnaise. I love asking for sriracha sauce on the side, too.

The vegetarian pizza options are clearly labelled on their menus. I’ve tried them all, and loved them, especially the four-cheeses-and-grilled veggie pizza. It’s always 2×1 here, and if you don’t finish all your pizza, it’s great to have for lunch on the following day.

Falafel Burger is a falafel patty with zaatar, veggies and hummus. I love a good veggie burger. I’m sure that if you want cheese, they can add that for you, too.

Veggie Sandwich is pretty self-explanatory, and the sautéed veggies are so good.

The Gourmet has goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, eggplant, and pesto, among other ingredients. This can be a super-sized wrap or a salad.

Graceland has bacon. If you would rather skip that, just say “sin carne, por favour.” It’s covered in peanut butter and bananas, which makes it taste heavenly. I love to ask for jalapeño syrup on the side.

Uluwatu is a waffle that has ricotta cheese, chinola (passion fruit), and fresh mint.

Bora Bora Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl has a base that includes berries, beats, bananas, flax, and honey. The base can be made with milk, coconut milk, almond milk, or soy milk. It’s then covered with granola, bananas, coconut, chia, flax, and honey. So good!
